  • Where does this leave your cloud strategy? Scaling up, scaling down, scaling out Dec 9 2021 2:00 pm UTC 61 mins
Prof. Herman Singh - CEO, Future Advisory | Paul Ruinaard - Sales Dir., Nutanix | Andrew Senior - Cloud Architect, Nutanix
Feeling a bit like the cloud has suddenly become less of a nice-to-have and a suddenly critical element to your business continuity? You aren’t alone. In this session of Nutanix Connect we are calling on global experts and our guest presenter Professor Herman Singh to help get to the bottom of what your cloud strategy suddenly looks like.

In this discussion, our global experts will touch on:

    • How did cloud get here and where is it heading to?
    • Why has this become important recently
    • What are the risks of not pivoting?
    • What should you consider in your plans?

Topics that will be addressed include:

    1. What the various architectures that enterprises can chose for their cloud strategy look like.
    2. Is it all or nothing when approaching the cloud?
    3. What is the safest cloud strategy for an enterprise today?

Pose your own questions to the panel and gain insights into what the leaders of the pack are doing in this new world, as well as what you should stop, start or continue.

  • The ROI Story - Identifying and Justifying Disruptive Technology Dec 7 2021 10:00 am UTC 57 mins
Steve Kaplan, Vice President, Customer Success | Nutanix
Disruptive technology such as hyper-converged infrastructure tends to significantly complicate the buying decision. It forces new operational procedures and can impact IT governance, security, and compliance. But even a strong financial justification might not be enough to alter the ingrained processes, interests, and cultural norms surrounding the legacy environment. In many cases, it takes an ROI story.

This webinar will assist anyone interested in how to use financial analysis as a framework to optimise strategic decision-making.
  • Transform Your Database into an Engine of Innovation Dec 2 2021 2:00 pm UTC 42 mins

Then add our automated database services, with one-click operations that enable databases to be provisioned in minutes, patches to be completed during your lunch hour (not your weekend!), and copy/paste cloning capabilities that use zero bytes - saving you plenty in storage costs.

Join us to find out more.

    In this webinar, you’ll discover:

    ● Linear scaling with zero forklift upgrades, zero downtime
    ● One-click DB management that can provision, clone, patch, refresh, and backup in just a few minutes
    ● Built-in DB automation, including provisioning, CDM, patching & upgrading
    ● Non-disruptive IT operations with self-healing architecture that recovers proactively

Brian Suhr | Principal Technical Marketing Engineer, Nutanix
End User Computing (EUC) has emerged as a crucial enabling technology for remote work, as it allows employees to work anywhere, anytime, and from any device. But many are still seeking straight answers about the risks and rewards of this approach, as well as practical advice on how to get started.

In Part 3 we'll be showing you how it is all about the end users.

How can they work quickly and efficiently without the need for intervention from IT? In this last section we tie together all the building blocks and show the benefits of how to operate an enterprise class environment.
  • The Future of Work Part 2: Working from Home - Keeping the Bad Guys Out Nov 23 2021 10:00 am UTC 40 mins

Part 2, covers what to do once you’ve created your EUC remote environment, and the need to secure and manage it effectively. There are several key questions to consider when implementing remote work globally and at scale:

    • How do we keep our data safe?
    • How do we centralize management operations?
    • Should the end user be able to access data on the local device?
    • What operations models do you need to consider when designing an EUC solution?

Join us to hear from Principal Technical Engineer, Brian Suhr on best practices and keeping your environment safe. Tune in for Part 3:

But many are still seeking straight answers about the risks and rewards of this approach, as well as practical advice on how to get started.

There are many questions that need to be answered before getting started, such as, What will the environment look like? How many desktops? What applications and what types of users? Will the environment be persistent or non-persistent?

Answering these questions provides a solid foundation that will save you time later.

1.What does the workspace of the future look like? Are cubicles back?
    2. What is the future of headquarters? How do we handle visitors and elevators?
3.What should be done with collaborative work?
    4. What should we be doing at our home office?

Our panel will further share their experiences and provide advice on how you can approach restructuring your workspace in a safe, financially viable and functional way.
