In this session we explore the role of the media in unearthing and showcasing new and established tourism experiences, driving market engagement, and spurring travel interest, and influencing travel decisions. We examine where new travel opportunities lie and future messaging around travel and tourism in light of COVID-19. We also explore the role that media, in its broadest sense, can play in giving enhanced visibility to travel and tourism SMEs and tourism experiences situated in less explored geographies and destinations. Lastly, the session examines how media can build effective collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders to drive future travel and tourism growth and sustainability.

LGBTQ+ travellers are set to be the first to get out into the world again and being able to engage them is more valuable than ever. But they are also more savvy than ever before, and it takes a lot more than adding a rainbow flag to your marketing campaigns to bring them onside. In this webinar, our expert panel moves beyond the basics to explore meaningful ways to be a true ally and to incorporate LGBTQ+ travelers effectively into the story you tell and reflect that story in your marketing.
WHY IT’S WORTH TUNING IN TO WEBINAR WITH CAROL AND NICOLE
Both Carol and Nicole have walked and are walking the same “not so smooth path” - personally and in career, in leadership roles in hospitality/tourism organisations, and each started own business
Nicole has done this through leading HR in 5 luxury hotel openings, disaster preparedness, response and recovery (hurricane Irma and other storms in the Caribbean that dramatically impact hospitality and tourism in beautiful yet challenging locations), coaching individuals to pivot in their career and much more.
Carol, through holding senior positions in marketing across the Caribbean Tourism Industry, dealing with a plethora of man-made and natural crises, to launching her own agency six weeks prior to the UK lockdown.
Both of them are in an industry that has taken a hammering in COVID – like the events business – but are taking the attitude that walking through fire is the only way to properly bounce back.
WHAT WILL YOU TAKE AWAY FROM THIS WEBINAR
• Fresh ideas of where to start, adapt what you have, practical next steps to bounce back personally and as a business
• Tips for resilience to ride the waves in these uncertain times and boost your own change and transformation journey.
• Energy and motivation lift for 1 hour time invested in joining webinar
Public and private sector financial and non-financial support measures play an important role in fostering the competitiveness and growth of tourism SMEs. In this webinar we will examine what assistance tourism SMEs need right now to navigate the COVID-19 environment, what and how public and other support measures have responded to these needs, and what difference these responses are making. We will also explore what new entrepreneurial and SME growth opportunities are presented by the current and future business environment and how entrepreneurs and SMEs can be assisted to take advantage of these opportunities to thrive and grow.
