Coronavirus and privacy: a clash of fundamental rights

Presented by

Philip Nabben, Marie Behle Pondji, Alexander Milner-Smith, José Miguel Mestre Vázquez

About this talk

Coronavirus is throwing many new and unexpected challenges at employers. For example, within the EU, in which all countries are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), there are differences of opinion as to how to balance the right to individual privacy against the health of the community. Some governments are actively exploring the use of tracking apps, whereas others are holding back. Meanwhile, employers are starting to ask about the extent to which they can measure and monitor the health of their employees. We hope you will join us to explore these and other fascinating issues. Ius Laboris firms speaking in the webinar are: Bronsgeest Deur Advocaten (Netherlands), Lewis Silkin (UK), Castegnaro (Luxembourg) and Sagardoy Abogados (Spain).
