About this talk

Sponsored by The Scottish Government Minister Paul Wheelhouse MSP will set the scene with a keynote address at the start of this webinar and be on hand for a brief time to answer questions. You will also hear from those concerned directly with policy and strategy; and from those determined to move the dial to ensure ever-greater levels of energy efficiency and use of low carbon heat. Heating our buildings is responsible for a significant proportion of Scotland’s emissions. As such, work to make our homes and buildings of all sorts more energy efficient and to transition heating systems to renewable or low carbon sources is critical. The Energy Efficient Scotland programme builds on existing legislation and programmes that are already supporting the improvement of the energy efficiency of homes, businesses, and public buildings, as well as the work done with local authorities to develop Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies (LHEES). Chair: Ragne Low, Head of Heat Planning and Delivery, The Scottish Government Keynote address: Paul Wheelhouse MSP, Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands, The Scottish Government Panelists: ● Andrew Wholley, Non-Domestic Energy Efficiency Framework and Project Support Unit, Mott MacDonald ● Fiona Boyd MEI, Sustainability Officer, The Highland Council ● Kathryn Dapre, Head of Energy and Sustainability, NHS National Services Scotland - Net Zero NHS Scotland: How will we do it?
