About this talk

Autonomous systems must operate in inaccessible, remote or hazardous environments -- from underwater drones to space systems to remotely-accessible medical devices. Until now, it was a challenge to establish secure, real-time connectivity for distributed control. These applications require high reliability and real-time performance over any network. Introducing the latest version of RTI Connext, the first software framework designed to address the development and deployment challenges faced by companies building remotely-operated autonomous systems. RTI Connext introduces enhancements to significantly accelerate the development of real-time systems that must operate over these disparate network types. It supports direct peer-to-peer connectivity in real-time over UDP, facilitates IP mobility, and incorporates military grade authentication and encryption. Additionally, it works to establish connections when IP addressing is unknown. This webinar will explore the fundamentals of the Connext software framework and the architecture that supports reliable cloud connectivity with RTI’s Real-Time WAN transport. It will also address device discovery when peer addressing is unknown and how to approach security to protect data flow to the highest standards. Developers and system engineers will learn how to seamlessly extend the capabilities to build, run and operate remotely-operated autonomous systems.
