Presented by

Steve Cowles, RCDD/NTS, Manager Technical Services, Lisa Schwartz, Dir. Product Marketing

About this talk

In Part 2 of this two part series, we'll perform the testing methodologies needed to assure infrastructure readiness for smart building technologies. We'll show the various types of infrastructure testing discussed in part 1 in a live product demonstration format. We will be using the TestPro CV100 Multifunction Cable Certifier, to give the viewer a real world look at the various types of testing that should be performed, and how quick, simple, and cost effective it can be to provide assurance of infrastructure readiness. Technologies we'll be covering in this fast pace demo are copper certification, fiber optic certification including hybrid powered fiber, power over Ethernet, SNR based multi-gigabit link speed testing, wireless network connectivity testing and wired network connectivity testing and troubleshooting. We'll also show you how to save the test results for documentation of cabling link performance.
