About this talk

McKinsey estimates that linking the physical and digital worlds could generate up to $11.1 trillion a year in economic value by 2025 by reducing maintenance costs, improving performance, increasing capacity and optimizing design. The impact of digital twin technology on the Aerospace and Defense industry will be immense. Digital Twin Consortium Aerospace and Defense working group is focusing on the applicability of digital twin within this sector. The working group will identify needs for digital twin interoperability and explore Aerospace and Defense use cases such as weapons design, aircraft maintenance and air travel. In addition to exploring simulation scenarios including separating a digital twin from its physical corresponding device and establishing a simulated environment in which the digital twin can interact and to simulate interactions with the twin, the working group will identify opportunities for testbed activities. Join the webinar to learn more about how the industry is coalescing to define the semantics required to describe a digital twin, identify standards gaps and requirements and build a use case library. Members of the consortium, which is open to all businesses, universities and government agencies, drive deeper understanding of how the Aerospace and Defense sector can utilize digital twins to improve across the lifecycle. The discussion will include more about the Digital Twin Consortium Aerospace and Defense Working Group goals, roadmap, and current work in progress and how you and your company can get involved.
