Cyber criminals will write and deploy sophisticated BOTS for a range of purposes and some businesses directly target their competitors, commonly deploying bad BOTS to scrape the content and aggregate data such as product names and pricing. In 2019, Radware surveyed 280 senior executives and IT professionals and found that 75% suffered BOT attacks, with a third of those reporting BOT attacks on a weekly basis. In addition, applications and APIs were particularly vulnerable, with 88% of respondents reporting hacking attempts against their applications and 82% reporting API manipulation attempts.
Once your organization has learned how to identify good and bad BOTS, you need to understand the channels and verticals that are targeted by BOTS and protect your applications and APIs.
