Confronting Climate Change in Latin America

Presented by

About this talk

In Latin America and the Caribbean, the impact of climate change is very much on the minds of insurers and reinsurers alike. Higher temperatures, changing rainfall patterns and increased incidence of extreme weather events such as droughts and floods endanger agricultural production, threaten property and put lives at risk. Executives and environmental experts will discuss the ongoing effects of climate change in LatAm, how the insurance industry’s risk profiles are changing, and what further risk management practices may be put in place to help mitigate the effects of a warming planet.
