While the lack of widespread insurance penetration in Latin America remains an issue, broader mindsets and innovative products and services offered by InsurTechs could solve the riddle of how to efficiently serve populations that remain underinsured. Brazil, for example, is currently the largest market for InsurTech in Latin America, with more than 50 start-ups active in Brazil including Bidu and Youse, two digital platforms that provide accessibility to purchasing insurance. An expert panel will discuss how technology is being leveraged by InsurTechs with the goal of accomplishing what their predecessors have found so challenging: making insurance affordable and easy to buy for millions of uninsured individuals in LatAm.
