About this talk

Health and wellbeing. Three words at the forefront of everyone’s mind - through work, at home, and on social media. We rely on a functioning healthcare system – whether public or private – from cradle to grave. However, like all businesses, the healthcare industry is susceptible to major losses. Significant damage creates issues which stretch far beyond a loss of revenue; this makes them unique to loss adjusting and claims assessing. How does a care home, mental health facility, or a dental practice recover from a large insurance event? What happens to funding, the property, and most importantly, the patients? This webinar, the second in the “Spotlight On BI” series, will consider technical Business Interruption issues that can arise as well as specific claims management considerations outside the numbers. Drawing from our own experiences, we will review three case studies from different aspects of the healthcare industry – both publicly and privately funded, and consider the individual issues that occur. This webinar is aimed at those with some or no claims experience in the Healthcare industry, but may be of interest to all claims practitioners.
