Healthy Northeast Ohio, a neutral data repository for regional population health data, launched publicly in December 2019. This innovative platform brings non-biased data and local resources to a single, user-friendly location.

Moral Injury and Shared Trauma: Healing our Systems and Ourselves

The COVID-19 pandemic brought unparalleled challenges for healthcare in the United States. In Northeast Ohio, with many still working tirelessly to coordinate care for patients struggling with Opioid Used Disorder (OUD), all while navigating disruptions and lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. These unique challenges created precarious scenarios for providers and patients, who have had to adopt new strategies to deal with the uncertainty of the pandemic.

The Northeast Ohio Hospital Opioid Consortium, a hospital system-based and physician-led collaboration housed at The Center for Health Affairs, is giving attention to this issue by hosting this virtual town hall with experts in various ends of the continuum of care model. These thought leaders will discuss the path forward, how the pandemic has reshaped care and provide tips and resources for members of the community who are struggling with OUD or have people close to them who are struggling with the disease.

An Epidemic Within the Pandemic: Evolution of the Crisis

This grant, in partnership with IPC Global, provides the opportunity for one research project to employ the innovative inProcess Research platform to empower healthcare research. Did you know Cleveland is a leader in holistic medical-legal partnerships? The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland helped create the first medical-legal partnership in Ohio with The MetroHealth System nearly two decades ago, and today there are embedded Legal Aid attorneys and paralegals who work collaboratively on-site at various MetroHealth, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and University Hospitals locations.
