In this webinar, join our Head of US Economics Preston Caldwell as he provides actionable insights on where the U.S. economy is in its post-pandemic recovery – and our predicted GDP growth through 2025.
Supply chain constraints and the Delta variant conspired to slow U.S. real GDP growth to just 2% in Q3 2021, the slowest since the recovery began. Inflation has leaped to its highest rate in over a decade. However, we don’t think that recent developments portend a new era of “stagflation” (as some in the media have proclaimed) for the U.S. economy.
In this webinar, we explain how the sources of today’s inflationary pressures are largely temporary, namely the semiconductor/vehicle shortage. We expect inflation to cool off in 2022 and beyond, and we explain why we’re optimistic about a labor market recovery that will fuel growth over the next few years.
