Interactive case session CT Bernd Wintersperger, Toronto/CA Description: This lecture will focus on a case-based review of various aortic pathologies. Specifically, this lecture will cover the importance of specific findings in acute aortic syndrome patients given their common need of immediate therapy decision. Furthermore, it will put emphasis of acquisition optimization aspects. Learning Objectives - To understand basic principles of aortic CT imaging - To understand the pathophysiological basis of acute aortic syndromes. - To understand specific findings to differentiate acute and chronic aortic disease on CT imaging Interactive case session MRI Iacopo Carbone, Rome/IT Description: I will discuss several cases of aortic pathologies starting, when possible, from a Chest XRay. I will review the pathogenesis of acute aortic syndrome. Learning Objectives - Participants will review the most common MR findings in several aortic pathologies. - Participants will learn a methodological approach of a Chest XRay in several aortic pathologies.
