About this talk

In May of 2021, the EU released the Draft AI Regulation; becoming one of the first governmental bodies to issue regulations against AI. It is expected that these regulations will play a similar role to that of GDPR in the data world. In this month’s episode of AI: The Future of Business, we’ll be building off our previous discussions around AI and ethics to explore why greater regulations are needed. Are businesses around the world prepared for a shift in the way we develop and use AI? According to McKinsey, most are not, as in 2020 only 30% of respondents reported that they actively addressed compliance risks. Join us in this session as we discuss: - Why regulations are needed in AI today - The implications of new compliance rules on businesses - How to prepare for the shift to more stringent compliance
