A professional development media channel founded by Francine Parham, Founder and CEO of FrancineParham and Co., that produces and provides content focused on career advancement for women and women of color in the workplace. There are three current programs, "A Table Plus Two Chairs," "Sharpen Your Skills Micro Workshops" and "The Professional Women's Advancement Summit," where Francine Parham serves as the content curator and host.

Knowing how to tell your professional story the right way makes the facts of your achievements and accomplishments impactful, especially if advancing in your career is important to you as a woman or woman of color in the workplace. It tells those in your organization how you get things done; what's important to you and; what you value. Most importantly, storytelling provides clarity about you in a compelling way creating the presence you need to share with those that can help take you to the next career level. It allows the listener to connect with you, trust you and invites them to be part of your workplace journey for your career advancement.

Telling Your Professional Story to Advance Your Career

It’s a fact, having a mentor won’t get you to the next level in your career or promoted as a woman or woman of color in the workplace, but a sponsor will. A sponsor can help you – if you’re prepared.      
 
So the question is, are you ready to be sponsored? Do you really know what it takes or how to get there? Do you know what to look for in a sponsor – all are not created equal. Are you visible enough to those leaders that can sponsor and help you get promoted in your organization? Does your organization even know that you are seeking sponsorship? Do they understand what you are looking for and are expecting for your career advancement or the next promotion? 
 
This session will answer all of these questions to help you think about innovative approaches, steps and actions that you can use to gain sponsorship as a woman or woman of color in the workplace.
