About this talk

One of the major concerns regarding outcome-based curriculum design models is that subject-focused content is somewhat lost. Curriculum design isn’t just a process of deciding what topics to cover. It’s a process of deciding what essential content learners must understand and master in order to achieve the intended learning outcomes. In fact, analyzing the intended learning outcomes to determine the essential content is one of the important marks of a strong curriculum and supports deeper learning. It should answer the question: What concepts, skills and issues are essential for the learners to achieve the intended learning outcomes? This webinar will provide a framework and process to identify, delimit, and align essential content with learning outcomes which will cause deeper learning and save time.
