About this talk

The overarching purpose of equity in education is fairness - making sure that each student receives what they need to succeed. Given the growing number of historically underserved students entering higher education institutions, it is increasingly important to focus on how by incorporating equity, all students have an equal chance of academic success. Learn more about how to create promising equitable practices while eliminating processes and procedures that no longer serve our students, and what we can do for ourselves and each other to advance equity and eradicate inequities in higher education.* Speakers - Jairo McMican, Dean of Student Learning at Central Carolina Community College and Director of Equity Pathways at the North Carolina Student Success Center - Heather Taynor, VP of Student Success at Watermark * This is a replay of a previously-recorded webinar and references Aviso Retention, which is now known as Watermark Student Success & Engagement.
