About this talk

In a typical scenario, adoption of new tools is based on institutional strategic priorities. While Georgia Gwinnett College’s implementation of Student Learning & Licensure started off that way, they hit roadblocks that made them think differently. They pivoted to find specific problems teams across campus had, then implemented where it made sense. Working from the ground up (starting with users) versus the top down (starting with strategic priorities) helped drive campus-wide adoption that encouraged innovation across student affairs, classroom research, alumni relations, and other areas. You’ll learn to: - Overcome organizational or functional barriers to adopting new tools - Gain leadership support for campus-wide adoption - Engage with other teams to help them reach their goals - Prioritize open-ended, imaginative application of this technology across campus
