For a heritage brand like Usborne Publishing, a business that’s been office bound since its launch in the 1970s, you’d have thought that switching on remote-working for its staff would have taken months.
You’d be wrong though. It took them less than three days.
Facing the imminent threat of a Covid-19 lockdown, the IT Director says the business wasn’t set-up to move its teams over to home-working: “And like most organisations, we can’t operate if our staff can’t work together,” he told us. “Our solution though meant we could keep our teams in sync, without disrupting the business.”
