About this talk

The global cloud computing market is expected to grow from $445.3 billion in 2021 to $947.3 billion by 2026, according to ReportLinker. Fuelled by the demand for cost-effective digital solutions in the pandemic, more industries than ever - including retail and FMCGs - adopted cloud services, and those that were already firmly in the cloud upped their investments significantly. Yet while organizations are reaping the benefits of the cloud - including flexibility, agility and scalability - it’s crucial that they are aware that certain aspects of security and protection are their responsibility. Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), including AWS, are responsible for managing the security ‘of’ the cloud, while users are responsible for managing security ‘in’ the cloud - think customer data, platforms, applications and identity and access management. AWS calls this the Shared Responsibility Model, and AWS users that aren’t taking their responsibilities seriously are at major risks of business disruption and financial fallout in the face of an attack or a vulnerability. . Understandably, this threat can seem overwhelming and it can be difficult to fully ascertain what falls under each party’s responsibility. In this Veeam webinar, experts are here to help. Join host Simon Ratcliffe and guests Sam Nicholls and David Hill for an architectural and demo deep dive to learn: - How a comprehensive AWS backup solution is the best way to protect your data from internal and external threats - Security best practices when building out an AWS backup and recovery solution to meet Well Architected framework guidelines - Why Veeam’s AWS back-up solution is a cost-effective option to keep your data safe and optimize your AWS spend - And more
