About this talk

CRU answers key questions such as where the majority of emissions in the supply chain lie, how they can be abated and by what means. Issues addressed include the importance of understanding location, logistics and fugitive emissions in mining, and the impact and effectiveness of carbon capture and energy reduction practices in steelmaking. Across the supply chain, the effect on emissions of changes in production technology and operating practices are examined. In addition, key aspects of CRU’s methodology and approach are explained – key considerations in the sourcing and use of reliable through-supply chain emissions data in benchmarking and other applications.
