About this talk

As global drinks industry continues its drive towards increased sustainability, the future of the aluminium beverage can looks more secure than ever. Indeed, with can stock representing 24% of global rolled products consumption, and continued growth expected for at least the next decade, the outlook is very positive. However, there are still many challenges that the sector faces. There is considerable downside risks to demand short-term from escalating inflationary pressures on the beverage sector, along with disruptions to global supply chains. But at the same time, if demand maintains current growth trends, will there be enough capacity across the supply chain in the longer term to meet the sector’s needs? In the next CRU Aluminium Q&A session, we will be focusing on the Beverage Can Market Outlook, providing a brief demo of our current market coverage and providing a deep dive on key market questions including: “Will capacity keep pace with demand over the long term?” “What is the impact of supply chain disruptions?” “What is the outlook for cans vs PET” Please join our panel on 01 December for this exciting discussion and pose your questions to our experts. Speakers: Steve Williamson, Research Manager of Demand and Downstream Wan Ling, Head of Asia, Aluminum Assistant Chief Representative CRU China Ross Strachan, Lead Analyst, Aluminium and Recycled Metal James Wren, Senior Aluminium Analyst and Business Development Associate, CRU
