About this talk

When it comes to privacy, we all need to choose a side. Some say, our personal data is about control and power, others say it's about security, and some believe it's about convenience. At the same time, we witness an inconsistency between the concerns of people regarding privacy and their actual behaviour. So we have invited experts in different fields of privacy to discuss how perspective can change people's attitude to the privacy question: business- and government-wise, human rights-wise, when it comes to personal life and even gets connected with domestic violence. Our experts will reflect on 2021’s most important privacy developments and discuss what we can expect in the following year. Our roundtable is joined by: * Jon Callas, Director of Technology Projects at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and co-founder of the global encrypted communications service Silent Circle, * Rachel Gibson, Director of the Center for Victim Service Professionals at the National Center for Victims of Crime, * Vladislav Tushkanov, Senior Data Scientist at Kaspersky
