About this talk
Business Technology Services (BTS) is the central internal IT Service provider to a large local government jurisdiction. Historically, our primary mission was to keep the lights on and the systems running allowing county departments to effectively service the citizens of Pinellas County. While this is still true, we rarely gave much thought to how we derive value for our organization as a service provider. Innovations within the technology ecosystem are happening faster all the time, a look inward to our business process and how we derive value, how we embrace innovations as a service provider became very important. Sharing our journey of becoming a modern government IT service provider over the last 7 years will touch on collaboration, knowledge, embracing new IT service technology, business goals and outcomes.
