About this talk

At a time when ESG considerations are increasingly part of investment and portfolio construction decisions, there is a need among fund managers to communicate a credible signal that demonstrate their ESG performance. Based on Sustainalytics’ company research, Morningstar's fund ratings can help managers communicate and market the sustainability credentials of their funds to wealth managers and retail investors. The Morningstar Sustainability Rating is a consistent and objective way for investors to evaluate mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and insurance funds based on their environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) impact. The Morningstar Sustainability Rating helps investors understand the vulnerability of their investment portfolios to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. The Sustainability Rating is depicted by globe icons where a low ESG risk score equals 5 globes and a high ESG risk score equals 1 globe. We discuss the methodology of the ESG Risk ratings, Morningstar Sustainability Ratings and the various ESG data points to evaluate strategies. Join us for a live webinar with Kasutubh Belapurkar, Morningstar, on Wednesday, 9 February at 4 PM, followed by a Q&A session.
