About this talk

The progress of the mobility world toward electric vehicles entails a fundamental shift in the concept of the automotive industry and consumer behaviour. The transition from an ICE vehicle to an electric vehicle brings with it a lot of concerns and uncertainties for the customers and technological challenges for the OEMs. Though the initial problems of range and battery life are being resolved by latest technologies like battery swapping and fast charging, the on-road experiences of fire accidents and inadequate safety assurances are stifling consumer interest. In spite of the sustainability quotient playing its vital role, the market demands technology-backed solutions. OEMs on their part have to usher in an entirely new approach to the designing, manufacturing and maintaining of electric vehicles. New systems have to be developed for communicating with the users. Data management, protection and cyber security are the emerging challenges for them. On top of that, there will be a major change in the driving experience that an e-motor driven vehicle provides. This will change the general thinking about cars, how they are driven and maintained, and even how they are re-sold. Battery management and the disposal of end-of-life batteries will be issues of supreme importance both for the OEMs and the vehicle owners. In this webinar we will delve deep into this inevitable transition in the vehicle industry and discuss what the future holds for e-mobility and how we might reimagine it with the help of industry professionals.
