VMware and Oracle announced an expanded partnership in 2019 to help customers leverage the companies’ enterprise software and cloud solutions to make the move to the cloud. VMware Horizon on Oracle Cloud VMware Solution (OCVS) is a joint offering from VMware and Oracle that enables customers to run VMware workloads including VMware Horizon on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). With VMware Horizon on OCVS, customers can deploy virtual desktops and applications in a matter of hours, scale their VDI environment to meet changing business needs, and provide secure remote access to their workforce. The solution also offers built-in disaster recovery capabilities, automated patching and updates, and seamless integration with other OCI services such as networking, storage, and security.
