About this talk

Through research, discussion and actual AR deployment, the AREA members organizations have agreed that one of the key barriers to moving from pilot studies to full deployment of Enterprise AR is understanding and overcoming issues and concerns around Safety. The AREA Safety Committee has been created to identify, classify and prioritize AR safety risks and develop risk reduction recommendations. In this webinar, some of the AREA Safety Committee members will provide insight and perspective on how they have deployed AR in a safe and controlled way, but also examples of how they are using AR to support workers in doing their job in a safe way. We will also be joined by the National Safety Council (NSC) to discuss their work in informing their members about the benefits of AR and how to safely implement the technology. During this webinar, attendees will learn: • What business problems (use cases) AREA enterprise members are solving using AR • How is AR helping to support the safety of workers • What safety challenges they have/are facing • How they were able to overcome these challenges • The work of the AREA Safety Committee and National Safety Council including the AREA Safety Infographic, Safety playbook, and an introduction to the Human Factors and Safety AR framework. It’s a “must attend” for anyone interested in deploying Enterprise AR Safely and understanding how to overcome this barrier to adoption.
