Continue with our 2022 Altitude Series with Bell Media's approach to delivering content to meet the needs of their users.
Bell Media is Canada’s leading content creation company with premier assets in television such as CTV, radio, including iHeart Canada, digital media and much more. For Bell Media's Digital Video Pipeline team, the mandate is simple: deliver the best content and best experience to our users. Although similar in land area, Canada's population density is 1/9th of the United States, making efficient delivery on our promise a uniquely Canadian challenge. In this presentation, Media Technology Analysts Adrian Loree and Roy Hasanizadeh discuss how their team is using Fastly to measurably improve the delivery network to their customers to support high traffic events such as the World Cup, the popular HBO show, “House of the Dragon” and breaking news. As part of the presentation, they will share how they are using Fastly CDN’s real-time streaming logs to monitor and alert as well as help shape traffic, plan new features and their usability post-rollout, design disaster recovery scenarios for both live and VoD streaming, and much more.
Join us for our next session with Laura Thomson, SVP Engineering at Fastly, where she will discuss the capabilities of Fastly observability systems and the functionality expansions that are on the horizon.
