A Bridge To and From the Cloud: Storage-as-a-Service in the Multi-Cloud Era

Presented by

Scott Sinclair, ESG; Kent Christensen, Insight; David Lombardi, Dell

About this talk

Cloud has become a must-have architecture for enterprise organizations — and many are looking for new ways to implement this technology more effectively. Spend visibility has become a key priority; it’s common for businesses to overpay for services, capabilities and capacity that they don’t fully need and that are often distributed across multiple cloud environments. All the while, many organizations are opting to increase their amount of infrastructure — often at greater cost. As cloud adoption continues to increase to drive business value, the priority should be to maximize the value of your cloud infrastructure and consider as-a-service solutions that will match operational needs. Rather than functioning as a replacement of cloud, storage-as-a-service can work alongside cloud in complementary fashion. Private and public clouds both have their benefits, but they don’t need to be mutually exclusive. As workloads become increasingly distributed, it can be overwhelming to manage several infrastructures at once; by deploying as-a-service solutions from trusted partners, companies can access a consistent cloud experience at the scale they need. From on-premise to public cloud, storage-as-a-service simplifies operations without reducing performance. In this webinar from Insight, Dell and ESG, analyst Scott Sinclair will be joined by Insight’s Kent Christensen and Dell’s David Lombardi to discuss the misconceptions of cloud infrastructure and how as-a-service solutions can enhance, not replace, cloud strategies. Tune in to hear more about: ● How growing cloud adoption is revealing the gaps in cloud management ● Why as-a-service is an important addition to enterprise cloud strategy ● How Dell APEX technology functions as a bridge to and from cloud ● And more
