About this talk

Traditional end-user computing is dead. 60% of the U.S. employees prefer to work hybrid, while 24% prefer to work remotely full-time, according to Gartner. That’s an astounding change in the space of a few years, and it means that the office-bound way of executing end-user computing is no longer tenable. Today’s workforce is not only distributed, it is highly digital. Employees expect self-service for their IT infrastructure and applications. HR needs smooth onboarding through offboarding to promote retention, engagement, and productivity. A digital transformation is needed. The answer, like with most digital transformation, is to migrate the process to a cloud architecture. But how do you make that real, when you are dealing with procurement, physical items that require time-consuming logistics to deploy in a timely way, and that require a vigorous process to ensure retrieval of IT devices from remote employees to prevent data breaches and asset loss. In this webinar, you’ll learn: -Why office-based end user computing has broken due to hybrid work. -The business case for change, a.k.a., the cost of sticking with the status quo. -What cloud migration looks like for end user computing processes. -An introduction and demo to the Firstbase platform.
