ISC2 Guide to Membership – January 2026

The ISC2 Nominations Committee will walk members through this year’s election process, starting with our Open Call for Nominations. Any qualified member interested in serving on the ISC2 Board of Directors can nominate themselves. Attendees of the webinar will learn more about the nomination process and what the Board is looking for in Director candidates. Additionally, we’ll review timelines and what else you can expect from this year’s election. Moderated by Brandon Dunlap, the conversation will be led by Laurie-Anne Bourdain, CISSP, Board of Directors, Nominations Committee Chair (Belgium).

The Center held its Q3 Stakeholders Meeting on August 20th with Trustee Carolyn Dolezal and Grace Menna, Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity.
They discussed the power of partnerships, the role of the cyber community in advancing security for all, and strategies from The Roadmap to Community Cyber Defense for protecting vulnerable organizations. The conversation also highlighted our collaboration with the Cyber Resilience Corps and their platform connecting cyber volunteers with community organizations.

The (ISC)² Bylaws Committee will walk you through the recommended bylaws amendments for 2023. We will discuss how the committee evaluated all proposed changes – including the member petition – and considered broader member feedback received during our recent survey. Finally, we will discuss next steps, which will include more opportunity for member input on the committee’s recommendations, before they are presented to the Board of Directors and then shared with members for a vote.
