A Transformative Time for Healthcare: The AI and GLP-1 Revolution

Healthcare has been an industry under pressure - advances in new technologies, new competitors with different business models, clinical resource constraints and changing - one might say demanding consumer and purchaser expectations have been large and noisy forces pushing change. There have been times in the history of US healthcare where we have had events accelerating those pressures – from the Affordable Care Act to COVID to now. We are seeing two really new developments: new drugs from GLP-1 and Generative AI converge resulting in our industry re-examining our business models and fundamental aspects of care. Both of these developments have the potential to transform the industry, but we need to understand how best to use the technology and new drugs to responsibly apply to improve care and impact costs.
