However, the structure of EM debt markets has grown and developed significantly in recent years with notable improvements in pricing and transparency. Techniques to track the performance of EMD indices have also evolved, allowing skilled managers to now track index performance consistently and more cost-effectively. We will provide our perspective on these developments and why an allocation to an index strategy in EMD makes sense for investors today.
