About this talk

David is the head of the London branch of the Institute of Information Security Professionals. David has over 25 years of experience in security. He was the former Head of Group Information Security at Aviva and previously a VP and Chief Security Architect at JP Morgan Chase. He has also worked for CapGemini and ICL Defence Systems. In 2008 he formed Whimbrel Management Consulting to provide information security consulting services and advice to the financial services and other sectors. He is also an external lecturer and member of the advisory panel for the Software Engineering/ Security MSc at the University of Oxford. He is a founder and the chair of the Information Security Awareness Forum (ISAF), and also participates in a number of industry committees and is the joint deputy chair of the ISSA-UK Advisory Board and the EURIM e-Crime Working Group. He served as the chair of the Management Committee of I-4 (www.I4online.com) from 2003 to 2006. David holds an MBA from London Business School and a PhD in Applied Cryptography. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a Chartered Engineer and holds the information security certifications CISSP and CISM and M.Inst.ISP.
