This session will discuss the role of Intrusion Prevention Systems, their relationship with Intrusion Detection (IDS) solutions, their advantages and limitations. Finally, it provides a review of existing IPS products and considers future developments in the area. Dr Maria Papadaki is a lecturer in Network Security at University of Plymouth, UK.
