Private clouds can offer the same flexibility and scalability as public clouds - allocating IT resources among business units more effectively - while keeping critical applications and management in-house. Disaster Recovery is an ideal place to start a private cloud initiative, however, most existing solutions for cloud DR are complex and ineffective. In this session, we'll discuss how hypervisor-based replication is built to automate and simplify DR in cloud architectures.
In this webinar. you'll:
- Learn about the requirements for DR in the cloud
- Understand how multi-site and multi-tenant cloud architecture impacts your environment
- See how Zerto enables DR to the cloud with or without VMware vCloud Director

Health management in the data center has four main pillars. Monitoring, Analytics, Diagnostics and Remediation.
In this session we will cover these main pillars and why they are important. We will unveil how you can use embedded sensors in the silicon available through standardized interfaces on your servers to help IT professionals start to add these pillars to their environment and begin to leverage them to help with MTTR reduction to outage avoidance. In the case of actual server issues, we will explain the ways to access those machines remotely and fix them with Intel Virtual Gateway.
Highlights of the Four Main Pillars:
•Monitoring: automated server health monitoring, failure alerting, health dashboard, and more.
•Analytics: root cause with health details, failure device report severity indication, and health history.
•Diagnostics: Remote vKVM access, integrated in-band access, component level health details.
•Remediation: remote power on/off and remote vMedia
Chef Compliance lets you express your compliance rules as code. You can easily run those rules as tests whenever you want. You get immediate feedback on whether your servers are configured as they should be.
Chef Compliance scans your servers to see if they are configured in accordance with your rules and generates a report that identifies the issues it found. You can then use Chef to remediate those problems.
In this webinar, Joe Gardiner will demonstrate how Chef Compliance works by scanning a default installation of RHEL 7.0 on the public cloud to see if it is CIS compliant. After the scan identifies the problem areas, Joe will use Chef to bring the server in line with the CIS benchmarks.
You’ll also learn about an offer from Chef to help you perform a scan of your infrastructure and get you started on the road to compliance.

Cloud storage has transformed the storage industry, however interoperability challenges that were overlooked during the initial stages of growth are now emerging as front and center issues. Join this Webcast to learn the major challenges that businesses leveraging services from multiple cloud providers or moving from one cloud provider to another face.
The SNIA Cloud Data Management Interface standard (CDMI) addresses these challenges by offering data interoperability between clouds. SNIA and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have partnered to create a SNIA CDMI Conformance Test Program to help cloud storage providers achieve CDMI conformance.
As interoperability becomes critical, end user companies should include the CDMI standard in their RFPs and demand conformance to CDMI from vendors.
Join us on July 19th to learn:
•Critical challenges that the cloud storage industry is facing
•Issues in a multi-cloud provider environment
•Addressing cloud storage interoperability challenges
•How the CDMI standard works
•Benefits of CDMI conformance testing
•Benefits for end user companies

There are many permutations of technologies, interconnects and application level approaches in play with solid state storage today. It is becoming increasingly difficult to reason clearly about which problems are best solved by various permutations of these. In this webcast Doug Voigt, chair of the SNIA NVM Programming model will outline key architectural principals that may allow us to think about the application of networked solid state technologies more systematically.
Randy Kerns, Senior Strategist and Analyst, Evaluator Group
The movement away from electro-mechanical devices for primary storage to solid state technology continues. Flash technology has been immensely successful and continues to advance with greater density and less cost. It is also driving changes in the interfaces and protocols for storage from disk-based to memory-based. Additional solid state technology is entering the market and will create a hierarchy of different performance and cost storage. This presentation will discuss some of these changes and their potential impacts.

Why choose between your datacenter and the cloud? A hybrid cloud solution gives you both.
You have already invested in server products that are on premises. You believe that Cloud is the future and the power of the Cloud can open up countless opportunities for people to do more and achieve more. But how can you leverage the Cloud given your current infrastructure?
Join this webcast to learn Hybrid Cloud options as well as how to extract value from your existing investments by:
- Expanding your options without adding complexity
- Easily moving workloads from your datacenter
- Building hybrid applications that leverage both on-premises and cloud resources
- Taking advantage of storage, backup, and recovery options with increased efficiency and reduced cost.
As organizations move into the "3rd platform", they’ll need to discover new ways to support solutions like Private Cloud and Real-Time Analytics. The traditional disk-based storage they're depending on is not keeping up. Flash is transforming datacenter infrastructure performance, capacity and cost to address these challenges.
Join Chris Tsilipounidakis from Tegile as he examines the ways of transforming to a Flash datacenter to support various, mixed application workloads in an ever-changing ecosystem.
