Following the Threats Up the Stack: Web Application Security
Alex Horan, Kevin Johnson & Dave Wichers
About this talk
Since the dawn of the information age, we have been plagued with threats from both inside, and outside of our organizations. These threats have continued to evolve as time marches on. In the early days, we were concerned with attacks targeting the availability of our critical services, most notably, our lifelines to the Internet, through DoS and DDoS attacks. Just as our defenses have evolved and matured, so have the attackers. We know worry about the integrity of our data, and perhaps due to recent legislation, the confidentiality of our data. Join us on this ThinkTank Roundtable discussion brought to you by (ISC)2 and Core Security, where we explore the threats that have moved “up the stack”, from the past of targeting our infrastructure, to the current issues surrounding our critical applications. We will discuss the most pressing issues facing our organizations today as we continue to adjust to the shifting battlefields, moving from service disruptions from the past, to outright theft of data and the compromise of the customer.
