HL7 FHIR and the Road to Interoperability

In a continued effort to present value and clarity through compelling topics, welcome to an important discussion relevant to Cloud initiatives and Healthcare.

AZ HIMSS is excited to announce the final topic of a 3-part webinar series: HL7 FHIR and the Road to Interoperability. NETSCOUT is co-hosting and has provided the webinar services here on Brighttalk.

Your webinar host: Perry Horner, CIO – Adelante Healthcare, this webinar is applicable for 1 CE hours.

First, join Wayne Kubick and Russ Leftwich as they describe the current state of and future plans for HL7 FHIR. They’ll review how and where FHIR is being used, how the FHIR community engages clinicians, payers, researchers and other stakeholders with the HL7 FHIR Community of implementers, and why it’s important for all members of the healthcare industry to be aware and engage. Secondly, join Robert Wright to learn how a growing ecosystem of applications and systems using HL7 and HL7 FHIR require improved levels of visibility. Robert will explore the dynamics of service assurance to improve visibility by ensuring a consistent, safe patient experience. Service assurance, and the resultant visibility and support, helps IT prevent and troubleshoot critical issues impacting healthcare services.

Wayne R. Kubick is Chief Technology Officer for Health Level Seven International, an ANSI-accredited Standards Development Organization (SDO) dedicated to the vision of a world in which everyone can securely access and use the right health data when and where they need it.

Dr. Leftwich is Senior Clinical Advisor for Interoperability for InterSystems. He is on the Board of HL7 and of the FHIR Foundation and is also active as Co-Chair of the Learning Health Systems WG and the Clinical Interoperability Council in HL7.

Robert Wright is a Senior Solutions Engineer with NETSCOUT Systems. Robert has assisted numerous healthcare organizations triage complex patient impacting services with the NETSCOUT product suite.

Stephanie Gibbonsn, Principal Analyst, Ovum and Bruce Kelley, Jr, CTO, Service Provider, NETSCOUT
With dynamic service and network configuration taking place within a complex operating environment, service assurance platforms will need to optimize intelligence to identify if a fault is at the virtual network function (VNF), physical network function (PNF), or cloud infrastructure to assure the reliability and quality of services in a hybrid network environment. End-to-end service management is crucial as CSPs aspire to the real networking end game: closed-loop automation.

    In this webinar learn about:

    • Why CSPs are turning hard into the network virtualization journey
    • Why telco cloud, automation, and analytics are essential to NFV
    • Ready or not: lingering concerns for CSPs over NFV
    • 5 key features for a successful NFV platform
    • NETSCOUT’s carrier-grade software optimized solution - designed for the cloud

Our presenters will discuss the complexities and challenges for CSPs, as they transition from traditional platforms to deploying and managing the new software-based platforms and applications, required for service agility in a hybrid networking environment.

Enterprises and Carriers are embracing Cloud technologies to modernize their infrastructure to deliver digital services at scale, more rapidly and more cost effectively. Yet, many organizations are lacking a cloud first architecture, an achievable enterprise-wide cloud strategy, documented standards and advance analytics to proactively identify risk and compliance.

Organizations need application visibility and control over both wire data and machine data to reap the benefits of Cloud technology. In this Cloud webinar, attendees will learn:

    • Software strategies that provide application visibility for public, private and hybrid Cloud environments that give control and visibility back to IT for efficient and effective management

    • Best practices for application migration to the Cloud including things to do before, during and after migration

    • New options for converged infrastructure health monitoring, SLA monitoring and Cloud/SaaS availability and performance monitoring

    • How to achieve application visibility in NSX environments
  • How to Audit a Wi-Fi Network for Security Recorded: Jun 26 2018 57 mins
Julio Petrovitch, Principal Technical Marketing Engineer - Wireless
Based on research by IHS, approximately 70% of WLAN investments are driven by the need to improve network security. After all, prevention of accidental confidential data leakage, protection against theft of data, control of unauthorized devices, and secure management of IoT devices is an essential part of modern Wi-Fi network management. WLAN management systems help with this, but they could be costly solutions that may need to sacrifice client service time to scan for rogue or unauthorized devices. In environments where such a solution is not available (no-Wi-Fi zones) or it is not desirable to enable the rogue detection feature for better client service, a periodic walkthrough survey method can be used with a hand-held device such as the NETSCOUT Aircheck G2. This webinar will show you how to perform a quick and simple security audit of your Wi-Fi network using an AirCheck G2.

The topics to be covered on this webinar are:

    * Learn how to import ACL lists from your AP controller

    * Learn how to quickly detect and identify unauthorized or rogue Wi-Fi devices

    * Learn how to easily locate unauthorized or rogue Wi-Fi devices
