Whether it’s zombie computers that have been infected or attacks from the likes of Anonymous where groups of individuals intentionally download attack tools to take down the intended target, botnets are inextricably linked to Distributed Denial of Service attacks. In the 2012 Worldwide Infrastructure Security Report from Arbor Networks, data showed a rapid growth of botnet-based attacks on the application layer. This webinar will discuss the rise in botnets and how they are being used to launch DDoS attacks, as well as techniques for decreasing risk of exposure from both inbound attacks as well internally compromised endpoints used in these attacks.
