‘Split and Commit’ – how multi-cloud applications can save end users up to 74%

In this webinar, Owen Rogers, Research Director of 451 Research’s Digital Economics Unit, will detail the savings that cloud buyers can make by shopping around for the cheapest services for each part of their Web application. Instead of using a single cloud provider to deliver an application, buyers who split their application requirements, such as compute and storage, from multiple providers can make substantial savings. Those that commit to a number of cloud providers through subscriptions and long-term contracts can save even more, up to 74% in our analysis. But the trade-off is the seamless integration and convenience of procuring from a single provider.

The data is taken from this quarter’s US edition of the Cloud Price Index (TM), which collects prices of compute, storage, databases, management and more from 26 providers, representing 85% of the US market. In this webinar, we’ll look at how prices have changed in the industry and examine what this means for both end users and service providers.

  • Accelerate High-Quality App Delivery with the Micro Focus DevOps Suite Recorded: Mar 28 2018 55 mins
David Landsberg, Malcolm Isaacs, Ayal Cohen
According to the 2017-18 World Quality Report, 88% of companies surveyed are using or experimenting with DevOps, and that number is growing. Making the transformation is not easy, and it’s made even more complicated by tools that aren’t integrated with each other, do not communicate with each other, and do not offer end-to-end visibility into and collaboration across the DevOps pipeline.

Micro Focus recently introduced their DevOps Suite, consisting of best-of-breed lifecycle management (ALM Octane), functional and performance testing (StormRunner Functional and StormRunner Load), and production monitoring (AppPulse) tools.

Attend this webinar to hear about the DevOps Suite, and how it can help your team accelerate application delivery at high quality and scale. We’ll also show you an end-to-end demo of the products. Here is what you will learn:

    • Challenges facing organizations making an agile or DevOps transformation today
    • Why it’s critical for organizations to have DevOps tools that share data and insights with each other as well as being tightly integrated with the pipeline
    • How the Micro Focus DevOps Suite provides you with lifecycle and
pipeline management, continuous functional and performance testing
from the cloud, and production monitoring for continuous assessment
