About this talk

Collaboration and team working have always been essential components of successful projects, but in today’s technology-driven environment, the composition of those teams and the nature of collaboration have changed. Digitization of business processes and the incorporation of technology into a wide range of products and services are major trends across all sectors. Digital projects are therefore no longer siloed within departments, but involve active participation and ownership from line of business stakeholders across a diverse range of business functions, from marketing to supply chain management and from IT to customer service. In this context, PPM best practice must evolve to meet the needs of these diverse groups, whilst PPM solutions must empower different roles across the organization, some of whom may be less familiar with project management processes. Ovum has recently undertaken a study of PPM best practices and will present its findings, along with recommendations for applying these in your organization. The session will address topics including: *Why digitization is changing PPM best practice *How to improve collaboration across multi-disciplinary project teams *Where agile and DevOps are impacting PPM *How to extend the benefits of PPM across and beyond the business *Why PPM is a significant enabler of digital transformation This event qualifies for 1 Professional Development Unit (PDU credit).
