About this talk

Storage is a major component of any cloud computing platform. OpenStack is one of several Open Source cloud computing platforms that exist in the market today. It happens to be the largest and most widely supported. The OpenStack block storage service provides persistent block storage resources that OpenStack compute instances can consume. This includes secondary attached storage similar to the Amazon Elastic Block Storage (EBS) offering. In this presentation, we will take a dive into: •How block storage works in OpenStack •What storage protocols are currently supported •How it all works together with computing instances
