About this talk

iSCSI over a 1Gb Ethernet network offers a cost effective storage networking solution for most business applications and workloads. Largely adopted by small and medium enterprises, larger enterprises are beginning to adopt iSCSI for more demanding applications. With the increased performance, flexibility, and affordability of today's 10GbE networks, mid-range and high-end data centers are adopting 10GbE iSCSI as a viable storage option for deploying mission critical applications like Microsoft SQL Server. This webcast presents results from I/O and bandwidth performance intensive decision support workload tests conducted on SQL Server with 10GbE iSCSI, 10GbE Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE), and Fibre Channel based storage.
