Jim Hearnden is a member of the technical committee at The Green Grid, a global consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems. The Green Grid's scope includes collaboration with end users and government organisations worldwide to ensure that each organisational goal is aligned with both developers and users of data center technology. As an Enterprise Technologist specialising in Data Centres, Jim has over 30 years experience in the IT industry. His area of expertise is power & cooling with long term experience of all types of Computer Hardware & environments. He also has a background in electrical, mechanical & electronic engineering. Jim has been working for Dell for the last five years and has previously worked for a variety of other major companies, including Finance Houses, Telecomm Companies & hardware manufacturers. During this time he has delivered multiple projects involving data centre builds & refurbishments as both Technical Authority & Project Manager.
