Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace by understanding personality

About this talk

It is, sadly, well-known that women and minority ethnic individuals often get a raw deal in organizations. Women make up less than 10% of executive directorships in FTSE100 companies and less than 4% of executive directors in the top 150 FTSE companies describe themselves as black or minority ethnic. What’s less well-know is the way that attitudes to differences in psychological type can exacerbate this situation. In this webinar John Hackston, Head of Thought Leadership at The Myers-Briggs Company, will use data from 1.7 million people to show how, by undervaluing particular aspects of personality, organizations contribute to the under-representation of women and minority groups at senior levels. He will discuss how type practitioners can use this knowledge to help address these issues and outline specific actionable steps that organizations can take.
