About this talk

SIEM Success: A Big Piece of the Security Puzzle Security information and event management (SIEM) defines the combination of security information management and security event management, with a purpose to provide real-time analysis of security alerts generated by applications and network hardware. This is intended to enable an organization to aggregate and analyze data to gain a picture of what is transpiring on its network. However, modern organizations are complex and diverse – and so are the risks they face. So how does a company implement and maintain an effective SIEM strategy that works for (and alongside) the wider business? Furthermore, just how big a piece of the current security puzzle is SIEM? In this session, a panel of experts will seek to answer these questions and explore the varied mechanics of SIEM. Key takeaways: • Why a SIEM strategy is key in helping you detect, isolate and mitigate cyber-threats • How to effectively manage and deploy a SIEM strategy that is right for your organization • What shape will future SIEM approaches adopt, and why?
