Join Scott Abel, the Content Wrangler, for a chat with Akash Dubey, director of technical publications and localization at iManage, about the scaled agile framework (SAFe) — one of several approaches being adopted by engineering teams in order to address problems associated with scaling beyond a single team. We'll discuss whether technical communication teams should take notice of this new methodology being adopted by our neighbors in Engineering, and if so, how we might “safely” align our content development and delivery models and strategy to this new framework.
Akash has over 20 years of experience in the field of technical communication with multinationals such as Hewlett Packard, Siemens, Cisco Systems, and EMC Corporation. He currently heads India’s largest and oldest community of technical communicators and language professionals, Technical Writers of India (TWIN). Under the TWIN umbrella, Akash was instrumental in starting India's most economical training program (Technical Communication Professional) for aspiring technical writers. This program enabled deserving candidates to get job-focused training.
Akash participates in many national and international panel discussions on leadership and project management challenges in emerging economies. He has made several presentations on API documentation, Alexa-based help, and content management systems at regional and national conferences/learning sessions.
