If you’ve ever searched for advice on writing quality technical documentation, you’ve probably encountered helpful lists, such as the 4 C’s of Documentation, the 6 C’s of Documentation, the 9 C’s of Documentation….pick a number, there is probably an alliterative list of characteristics your documentation should have.
Compiling the various lists led to a total of 21 different characteristics that a technical writer should evidently strive for when creating content.
Join Dawn Stevens and her guest Vlad Khanin, Senior Manager of Content Strategy at LinkedIn, as they talk about these characteristics, their importance (or lack thereof), and how to achieve them. They’ll also point out some notably absent characteristic descriptors and whether or not their ostracism is justifiable.
Vlad Khanin is a Senior Manager of Content Strategy at LinkedIn Corporation. Vlad has been working in content development roles for over 25 years, with over a decade leading and building dynamic global teams, developing and implementing content strategy, git-DITA based content dev ecosystems, and more.
